Medication Supply Update
Posted on April 29th, 2026
We are receiving an increasing number of queries about pharmacies being out of stock of certain medications. We understand how frustrating this situation can be, and we want to clarify how best to get the help you need.
Please note: It is not the responsibility of the GP surgery to contact pharmacies on your behalf or to check which pharmacies have stock available. We also cannot follow up with pharmacies regarding alternative options.
What you should do if your medication is out of stock:
-
Contact local pharmacies directly to check which one currently has your medication available.
-
If the medication is unavailable, the pharmacist may be able to recommend a suitable alternative.
-
Once the pharmacist has advised you, please contact the surgery with the suggested alternative so a GP can review and prescribe if appropriate.
Unfortunately, we are unable to manage stock‑checking or pharmacy follow‑up requests within the surgery.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
